California’s Clean Air Regulations for Medium & Heavy-Duty Diesel Vehicles

CARB is actively enforcing medium & heavy-duty diesel vehicle regulations in support of California’s clean air goals.

On-road diesel vehicles with a GVWR that is 14,001+ lbs. must reduce exhaust emissions by meeting particulate matter (PM) filter requirements and upgrading to newer engines. Vehicles with 2010 engine model year (EMY) or newer are fully compliant. Use this graphic below to help determine if your vehicle is in compliance.
