Tom’s Truck Center Announces EV Charging Infrastructure Project
Tom’s Truck Center, an industry leader in Class 3-7 commercial medium duty trucks and vans, is excited to announce their investment in Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure. Tom’s Truck Center has partnered with Freewire Boost, BTC and Southern California Edison to bring this project to light and they are leading the medium duty truck dealership space with a project of this scope. The State of California has enacted new regulations on emissions that are pushing more and more customers into zero emission vehicles in both the consumer and commercial markets. Tom’s Truck Center is helping its customers navigate this transition by not only providing the vehicles, but also a place to charge them.
Tom’s Truck Center’s 2 dealerships are located directly along the 5 freeway in Santa Ana and Santa Fe Springs, which will make it very convenient for customers to pull off for a charge. In addition, these chargers are considered to be “Fast Chargers”, which will allow users to get their trucks back on the road and back to making them money.
Tom’s Truck Center feels that its current EV product offerings are a great choice for those looking to enter the world of Commercial Electric products. As it is explained from CEO of Tom’s Truck Center, KC Heidler:
“Not only have GreenPower, and Ford designed and developed quality Electric Vehicles for the commercial space, but most importantly they’re building them today and are available for sale now. Many EV startups have promised to deliver vehicles but have yet to do so.”
We will help our customers navigate government incentive programs and we will work with our customers on the charging infrastructure at their facilities, but we are very excited on the ability to offer charging infrastructure at our facilities as well.
Tom’s Truck Center currently has demo units at the dealerships, with orders for more pending arrival. There will also be short-term EV rentals and long-term EV leases available in the near future, so that customers can test out these EV units and get more comfortable using them.
Tom’s Truck Center is also excited to announce that its other manufacturer partners: Isuzu, Hino and REE, have Electric Vehicles in the pipeline and arriving to the dealership in the near future.
