Tom’s Truck Center Wins Ichiban 27 Consecutive Years!
Ichiban means “number one” in Japanese. Earning the distinction of one of Isuzu Commercial Truck of America’s (ICTA) “Ichiban” dealers is an impressive one — earning that distinction 27 years in a row (the only dealer to have ever achieved that) is extraordinary.
K.C. Heidler, the CEO of Tom’s Truck Center is quite modest about this impressive distinction and quickly passes the credit off to his capable staff. “Every year we develop a strategic plan that includes associates at every level in the organization. Through these series of meetings we develop our plans and spend the rest of the year implementing them. I’ve got a great management staff that oversees our plans and makes things happen.”
Heidler was paid a visit by the executive vice president and general manager of Isuzu Commercial Truck of America (ICTA), Shaun Skinner. Says Skinner “The Ichiban program is designed to reward our top performing dealers in vehicle sales, parts sales and customer satisfaction scores. These are our very best dealers.”
Skinner went on to say “Our Ichiban dealers are rewarded with a world class trip of a lifetime. We aim to reward and motivate those dealers that are performing at the highest levels for Isuzu. This year’s award destination is an all-expense-paid trip for two to New Zealand.”
While winning Ichiban is something Heidler is grateful for, he is more grateful for the support of the customers, community, employees and his father, that tragically passed away of cancer in 2011. “I grew up with this company and learned as much as I could from George. We certainly wouldn’t be here as an organization without the path he put us on.”
Congratulations to K.C. Heidler and Tom’s Truck Center for another amazing year!
